The Locke family legacy began in 1985, when Derek’s grandfather, Larry Locke, founded the original family business, Locke Construction Inc. We highly recommend Derek Locke and Locke Legacy Homes. Derek re-sided our 2002-built house with James Hardie siding in September 2024. We chose Derek because of his experience building in the unique ocean environment we have here in Ocean Shores. During his work on our house we were always impressed with his attention to detail, making sure the product was installed properly, caulked properly, and keeping us informed at every step. Because of our concern with the James Hardie siding warranty we had a James Hardie warranty rep come out and inspect how Derek was installing the siding, he told us we were lucky we had found such a competent contractor and Derek was installing the product exactly as it should be installed. The contract with Locke Legacy Homes for the re-siding was straight forward and spot on, never any hidden costs. Cleanup was done every day and courtesy always extended to us. Derek always came into the house at the end of each day to tell us he was leaving…we told him the biggest compliment we could give him was that we were going to miss seeing him each day…and we do!

They brought our home back life literally. Locke Legacy Homes LLC, contractor Derek and his crew completed a major remodel of our entire house. In addition also constructed a new kitchen expanding the square footage completing everything from footings to the trusses and then the finishing touches. We love our new kitchen and new bathroom.This house was completely remodeled from scratch and also made nearly 100% ADA accessible and is now a quality energy star home. His worked involved every room of our house completely building all new kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom and utility laundry room. Derek coordinated all the supplies and materials and also coordinated with multiple sub contractors installing brand new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. Locke Legacy Homes is amazing and they worked with us hundred percent of the time coordinating with our architect and structural engineer submitting blueprints to the city building department. Just about every aspect of the house from all new foundation, setting new roof trusses and extending the original footprint of our home. He installed all new exterior siding, energy efficient windows, doors with new insulation and drywall. He added all the finishing touches to installing an all new composite wood flooring, new cabinets in the kitchen and new bathroom fixtures and trim. I loved working with them. They have a very strong work ethic and are keen on quality and craftsmanship. We our so pleased with our new home in fact so pleased I had them back to reside our garage and also installing new windows and doors. So pleased with there work. We highly recommend Locke construction from start to finish and also their competitive pricing.
